Photograph of Queen Mary. She is sitting looking to the left holding a closed fan on her lap. She is wearing a dark dress with embellished sleeves and there is a fur cloak over the left arm of the chair. Her jewellery includes the Vladimir tiara, a pearl brooch and a diamond necklace. The photograph has been signed 'Aunt May' and dated '1949' in the lower right corner. Queen Mary was the consort of King George V. This photograph was presented by Queen Mary to Princess Vera Constantinovna, the youngest child of Grand Duke Constantine Constantinovich.
