Reproduction of an original photograph of Princess Alice of Battenberg (1885-1969) with her daughters Princess Margarita of Greece and Denmark (1905-81), Princess Theodora of Greece and Denmark (1906–69), Princess Cecilie of Greece and Denmark (1911-37) and Princess Sophie of Greece and Denmark (1914-2001). Princess Alice is sitting on a sofa with the baby Princess Sophie sitting on her knee. Princess Margarita is sitting beside her to the left and Princess Cecilie is sitting on the arm of the sofa to the right. Princess Theodora is standing between her mother and Princess Cecilie. The photograph has been annotated with the names of the Princesses. Princess Alice of Battenberg was the consort of Prince Andrew of Greece and Denmark. She had four daughters and a son, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh. She died at Buckingham Palace in 1969.
