Description

Photograph of an overhead view of the interior of the Exhibition Palace for the 1853 Great Industrial Exhibition, held in Dublin. Sculptures, stalls and various other things, including a fountain, are located on the lower floor

A carbon copy is adhered on top of the original albumen print. Carbon prints are more stable compared to albumen prints, the latter prone to fading. Carbon copies were therefore created for posterity.
