Westmoreland Street, Dublin c.1880 after an original of c.1860
-
Photograph of a view of Westmoreland Street, looking down towards the Bank and Trinity College, located in the distant background. The cobbled street appears to be empty.
A carbon copy is adhered on top of the original albumen print. Carbon prints are more stable compared to albumen prints, the latter prone to fading. Carbon copies were therefore created for posterity.
