Photograph of King George V and Queen Mary with people including the Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Sir David Brooks and his wife the Lady Mayoress, at the Birmingham and Midlands Free Hospital for Sick Children, built between 1913 and 1917, which was then located on Ladywood Road at Five Ways. They are standing outside one of the wards which has full-length windows pushed back for fresh air, which was considered important for the recovery of patients with infectious diseases. One of eight photographs on album page (album RCIN 2303829).
