Photograph of King George V (1865-1936) who stands alongside a workbench, during a visit to the Martinsyde aeroplane works in Woking. On the King's left stand Queen Mary (1867-1953), Princess Mary (1897-1965), later Princess Royal and Countess of Harewood and Prince Albert (1895-1952), later King George VI who stands fourth from the right and wearing a bowler hat.

The company Martinsydes was established by the aviators HP Martin and GH Handasyde in 1908 and also manufactured motorcycles but the company ceased to operate following a fire in 1922.
