Postcard with Prince Albert, later King George VI (1895-1952), standing on the deck of HMS 'Collingwood'. The Prince was a Midshipman aboard Collingwood and wears Naval uniform and holds a telescope to his right eye. In the background, another Destroyer can be seen.
Prince Albert saw action during the First World war on board HMS Collingwood during the Battle of Jutland in 1916 when he was a Turret Officer. There is a small publishers' logo in the lower left corner, of an artist canvas and the letters RTS and a palette. One of nine postcards on the album page (album: RCIN 2303705).Provenance
