Photograph of the Jasmine Tower, also known as Samman Burj or Musaman Burj, within Aga Fort, looking towards the river Yamuna and the Taj Mahal. This was where the Emperor Jahan spent his last days as a prisoner, which had a clear view of Taj Mahal, the mausoleum of his wife. The Prince and Princess of Wales, later King George V and Queen Mary visited a number of famous landmarks in Agra, including the Taj Mahal and the Fort on 16-18th December 1905. A member of the royal entourage, Sir Bryan Godfrey-Faussett wrote of his visit to the Fort and viewing the Taj Mahal from the Shah's rooms in the Jasmine Tower.
