A photograph showing the interior of Queen Mary (1867-1953) when Princess Mary, Princess of Wales's sitting room at Marlborough House. The photograph shows chairs and settees, small tables with objects and books placed on top, the Princess's writing desk containing writing equipment and framed photographs of members of the Royal Family, there are framed photographs of Princess Mary Adelaide of Cambridge and Queen Alexandra to the left of the photograph, a small display of oval portraits on the far wall next to the fireplace which has a mirror above it. There is a crystal chandelier, two doors on the far side of the wall, one of the doors is opened to reveal the adjoining room. There is a framed portrait painting and a bust to the right of the photograph.
