She wears the Diamond Diadem, diamond floret earrings, the Diamond Festoon necklace, the Collar and Star of the Order of the Garter, Queen Elizabeth II’s Wedding Bracelet, long light colour gloves, a light colour sleeveless beaded gown and the Robe of State. The Robe is positioned in front of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, extending across the front of the photograph. Prince Philip turns left towards Queen Elizabeth II, his face captured in profile. He wears his naval uniform and Collar of the Order of the Garter. He carries a sword in his left hand, and places his right hand on the stone balustrade. Stone columns are positioned on either side of the photograph, framing the couple.
Mount contains production notes written by photographer. Snowdon preferred working with natural light, and would often write instructions on proofs so that the printing from the negatives would be produced accordingly. -
