-
Photograph of a group portrait depicting six unknown men and two unidentified women positioned in front of a doorway. One of the ladies is standing in the doorway with her head slightly bowed, wearing a large headdress. The second lady is seated in a chair which has a high back, facing half left. A book is lying open on her lap and a table with flowers placed on top stands in front of her. Behind her, on the right of the photograph, are three gentlemen. They are all wearing top hats. One man is seated on the right of the photograph with his left leg crossed over his right. Another gentleman stands next to him, facing left. A third gentleman is standing behind the lady's chair. His left hand is placed on his hip and he appears to be reading from a newspaper which he holds in his right hand. There are three more gentlemen on the left of the photograph. One man is lying on his left side. Another stands facing the lady in the doorway. He is wearing a top hat and appears to be gesticulating with his left hand. A third man sits on the floor with his legs crossed.
