7" x 5" glass plate negative of Prince Charles seated and looking-up in three-quarters left profile. Princess Elizabeth's first child, Prince Charles, was born on 14 November 1948. Prince Charles's first sitting was on 26 October 1949, when he was taken to The Children's Studio by his mother. Prince Charles and Princess Anne became regular visitors to Adams's studio - their sittings were usually in July or October in order to produce birthday portraits.
