Queen Elizabeth II (Equanimity) 2004
Lenticular photograph on lightbox | 71.2 x 54.0 cm (image) | RCIN 2119717
-
Portrait of Queen Elizabeth II produced as a 3D lenticular print, comprising of a chromogenic print laminated to a glass/acrylic lenticular lens on lightbox. The sitter is shown at bust-length, facing front, wearing a white fur stole over a black round-neck top, pearl necklace and earrings and the Diamond Diadem.
Ground-breaking technology is behind this first-ever holographic-stereographic portrait commissioned by The Jersey Heritage Trust to commemorate the island’s 800-year allegiance to the Crown. During only two sittings, over 8,000 high-resolution digital photographs were produced using a specially designed revolving 3D camera. These were then processed and layered to create a single three-dimensional image.Provenance
