Description

Postcard of Queen Elizabeth (1900-2002), when the Duchess of York with her daughter, Queen Elizabeth II (b. 1926), when Princess Elizabeth. Both face the viewer. This is one of several ‘charming studies from portraits by Marcus Adams’ taken on 5 July 1928, and sold by Raphael Tuck & Sons Ltd in packets of six. They became very popular with the general public worldwide.
