The Maharajah is sitting in a chair with both his feet placed on a footstool, with his right elbow resting on a table which has a book placed upon it. The Maharajah is wearing an elaborately decorated turban with pearls and jewels, a silk robe and jewellery around his neck. The Maharajah was awarded the Knight Grand Commander of the Order of the Star of India in 1911 and the Knight Grand Cross of the Order of the British Empire in 1927.
