Pratap Singh The Maharajah of Jodhpur (1845-1922) and his suite c. 1887

Photograph of Pratap Singh in a full length portrait. The Maharajah is seated and wears military uniform. Behind him stand two fellow officers or members of his suite, who also wear army uniform. Pratap Singh served with the British army and fought in the Second Afghan War where he was awarded the Afghanistan Medal. He also served during the First World War. He was awarded the Knight Grand Commander of the Order of the Star of India in 1897.
