-
Photograph taken at the front of Sandringham House of Albert Edward, Prince of Wales (1841-1910), later King Edward VII who holds a riding crop and is seated in a carriage with the hood pulled down. On his left is seated Princess Alexandra, Princess of Wales (1843-1925), later Queen Alexandra, closest to the viewer. A grey horse pulls the carriage and a groom wearing a top hat stands holding the horses reigns. In the porch area stand three male servants.
This is a very early photograph, probably taken in late March 1863, when Princess Alexandra first saw the house, after the wedding on 10 March. -
