Photograph of the Gothic Chapel in the Alexandria Park at Peterhof. The small square chapel is in the Gothic style and has four corner spires, large rosette windows and high arched doorways. It is heavily decorated with Gothic ornaments and statues of saints. A person sits to the left of the doorway and there are trees to either side. The Gothic Chapel was commissioned by Tsar Nicholas I as a domestic church to serve the Romanov family while at their summer residence of Peterhof. It was used for weekly services and special events.
