Photograph of the 18th century Room, or the Royal Visitors' Sitting Room, Buckingham Palace. The paintings on the wall are: Queen Charlotte by Zoffany (RCIN 405071), George, Prince of Wales (1762-1830), later George IV (RCIN 405135), the other two are too dark to identify. There is also an early Renaissance painting of the Virgin and Child with St John, in an ornate frame on an easel, next to a group of covered armchairs and rectangular table, and other assorted furniture. There is a clock on the mantelpiece, under a glass dome, which is by Lepine (RCIN 30390), of an African Princess, in front of a large mirror. Behind the painting on the easel is one of a pair of Boulle cabinets (RCIN 96.1-2).
