Photograph of the Oak Dining Room, Windsor Castle. Two large Gobelins tapestries (RCIN 64105.1-2), called 'Atalanta Weeping over the Death of Meleager' and 'The Hunt' are mounted on the panelled walls, on either sides of an arched doorway. Below the tapestries are a pair of marble-topped Pugin-designed sideboards and wine-coolers and chairs. On the far wall is a fireplace (RCIN 90407) with an over-mantel mirror, a Vulliamy clock with the figure of Time, (RCIN 30039) and two bronze equestrian statuettes; a large chandelier hanging over a covered gothic-style round dining table with chairs. The same furniture was later used in the Octagon Dining Room. The tapestries were given to Queen Victoria by King Louis-Philippe in 1844 at the Chateau d'Eu.
