The exhibition marked the 50th anniversary of the discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamun in the Valley of the Kings by the archaeologists Howard Carter and George Herbert, 5th Earl of Carnarvon. It was extremely popular and was seen by 1,694,117 people.Provenance
