A bronze statue of Victoria, Princess Royal as 'Summer'; standing, full-length, leaning against a tree trunk on the left, wearing a long flowing robe; her hair falls in long ringlets on her shoulders; holding ears of corn in her left hand.
Provenance
Marble version exhibited at the Great Exhibition 1851. Purchased by Queen Victoria in May 1851 (according to 1875 MSS Inv. Buckingham Palace) Preliminary full length plaster statue of Princess Royal as Summer was presented in Christmas 1846.
