This blotter, formerly belonging to Queen Mary, is a stunning example of early twentieth century binding. With gold tooling in the form of dragons and inlaid leather adorning the cover, it provides an excellent example of the book binder's craft and shows elements of the Art Nouveau movement which was flourishing during the period.
