Two years after the publication of 'Our Princesses at home' a new series of photographs of Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margaret was taken by Lisa Sheridan, which follows their activities throughout the year. Wartime elements include practising using a stirrup-pump and the performance of the pantomime Cinderella, one of several staged in the Waterloo Chamber in Windsor Castle by the Princesses and their circle of friends. The book cover shows Queen Elizabeth with her daughters on the steps between the East Terrace Garden and the Home Park at Windsor.
