Carol Ann Duffy wrote The Crown for the 60th anniversary of the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, and it was read at the Service of Thanksgiving. The poem celebrates the historic significance of the crown worn by the Queen. This is the typescript copy of the poem, to which she made alterations.
