Agnes Giberne was an evangelical author who wrote several books aimed at providing moral lessons for children. In addition to her works of fiction, Giberne also wrote popular books on scientific subjects. These often focused on astronomy and geology, fields which Giberne had a particular interest. In 1890, she became one of the founding members of the British Astronomical Association. This book is her introduction to meteorology, also published in 1890.
