Jean-Antoine Nollet was a French clergyman and scientist who made several experiments with electricity. This book contains his discoveries on static electricity and how electricity can be conducted by the body. Several of these experiments are remarkably unsafe, including one where he formed a human chain with around 200 monks before giving them an electric shock and another where he electrified a young man that he had suspended from the ceiling.
