Hard-paste Paris porcelain tea pot. White ground with gilded and polychrome decoration, combining stripes in mauve and gold with flowers. The tea pot, which is tubular in shape, has a gilded handle and spout. The latter is faceted with white edging. The sunken, slightly domed cover, which is pierced with a hole, is banded in gold. Horizontal burnished bands delimit the frieze, which is painted in colours with daisies and imaginary plants on a gold-speckled ground. Running round the shoulders is a spidery foliate trail in gold.
