This journal is a fair copy of the various journals kept by Lieutenant-General Sir Eyre Coote (1726-83) during the early campaigns in the Indian theatre of the Seven Years War. The journal contains detailed information of troop and naval movements, treaties, and descriptions of battles, most notably the Battle of Plassey which took place in June 1757.
