Bound by the Queens Binder A (William Nott?) in contemporary red goatskin, the covers tooled in gilt with an over-all strap-work design forming eleven compartments filled with pointille volutes, four-petal flower tool, stars and dots; spines divided into seven compartments, the second lettered and the remainder with volute and floral tools; all edges gilt; comb-marbled end-leaves.Provenance
Probably the copy listed in the inventory of George III’s library at Richmond Lodge, prior to its dispersal c. 1766. In the library of George III at Windsor by 1780.
