Remarkably, all of the known works of Xenophon have survived from antiquity. Born in Athens around 430BC, Xenophon was a prodigious writer and is known principally for his three major works, the Hellenica, the Cyropaedia and the Anabasis. This Italian edition was translated from the Greek by Marc'Antonio Gandini and published at Venice in 1588.
