This is the first edition of William Camden's guide to the funerary monuments at Westminster Abbey. Published anonymously, the book was very popular and was expanded twice over the following decade.

Provenance

Likely acquired for the Royal Library before 1860. Bears the bookplate of Queen Victoria, used 1863-1901.
