This guidebook provides an interesting account of the important tourist attractions in London in the Edwardian period. It contains much useful practical information such as the fares for public transport, how to navigate the Tube, where to stay, where to eat and where to shop. There are also extensive descriptions on some of the key landmarks in the city, among them the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey and the British Museum (which, along with the other large museums of London, is described on a room-by-room basis). The text is helpfully illustrated and contains several handy maps to aid a newcomer or a tourist in the capital.
