Description

Charles Stewart Hardinge was aide-de-comp to his father, Governor-General Sir Henry Hardinge, from 1844 to 1848. In 1847 Sir Henry Hardinge sent four of his son's original sketches to Queen Victoria from India (RCINs 929533, 929534, 929535, 929536), two of which were published in this lithograph volume.
