Description

Thucydides' History of the Peloponnesian War is the first history written via an extensive research process as opposed to the hearsay (and use of the divine) which typified the work of Herodotus - the 'father' of history. It tells the history behind the war between Athens and Sparta, and their allies to 411 BC.
