Practical Agriculture is a farming manual by the Lancashire physician and agriculturalist Richard Watson Dickson. Dickson held a great interest in agricultural improvement and wrote many books on farming, livestock management and horticulture. However, they did not lead to financial success and by 1812, he had been forced to serve time in debtor’s prison.
