This edition of the comedies of Terence was printed in Paris in 1552 by Jean de Roigny (d. 1566). Terence's plays are notable for their differences to the works of the early Roman playwright Plautus, in that, although they emulate the works of Greek authors, they are written in a colloquial style familiar with Roman audiences and thus remained popular throughout the Roman period and into the Middle Ages.
It was later re-bound during the reign of King George V.Provenance
