Printed at the printing shop of Christophe Plantin in Antwerp. Plantin had started his career as a bookbinder but moved into printing after an accident left him unable to bind books. His printing shop flourished from 1555, his editions being known for the quality of their craftsmanship. After his death in 1589 his business was carried on by his son-in-law. This is a pocket-sized edition of the works of Roman satirists Juvenal and Persius, frequently published together, but satirizing the court life of two different emperors - Domitian and Nero respectively.
