Minor Horrors of War and its companion More minor horrors are two books on parasites by the zoologist Sir Arthur Everett Shipley. Shipley was a specialist in parasitic worms and spent much of his career at Cambridge studying invertebrates. Published at the height of the First World War, the books vividly described different parasites (such as flies, ticks, fleas and lice) and explored how they could cause or even treat disease in soldiers on the Front.
