This silhouette was presented to Lady Dorothea Banks, wife of the naturalist and friend of the royal family Sir Joseph Banks, by Princess Elizabeth on 13 June 1808. It was placed in a notebook (RCIN 1047678.a) which was presented to Lady Banks by Princess Elizabeth in 1808. The notebook and its contents were acquired by Queen Mary in 1930. -
