Prints from The Illustrated London News show the Prince of Wales and his party at different sites during his 1862 tour of the Middle East. A number of prints such as this were published by the press during the Prince's tour, based on photographs by Francis Bedford and drawings by Frederick George and others. The volume also contains numerous prints relating to the American Civil War and the World's Exhibition, held on the site now occupied by the Natural History Museum in London.
