Musk deer, 17th century.
A painting of an antlerless musk deer with tusk-like teeth, originally standing against a plain background. The green ground, flowering plants and sky are later additions.

Portrait of Rafi al-Darjat, mid-18th century.
A portrait of Prince Rafi al-Darjat (1699-1719, r. Feb-June 1719), the successor to Emperor Farrukhsiyar and puppet ruler of the Sayyid brothers. Facing right, he wears a long orange jama with green and gold leaf motifs, dark red leather boots and a gold, red and green plumed turban decorated with pearls. In his right hand he holds a jewelled bazuband (arm band) and the left rests on the hilt of his tulwar sword.
The painting has been extended at the top with the addition of a dark sky.
