An oval bust portrait of the Mughal Prince Kam Bakhsh (1667-1709), the fifth son of Emperor Alamgir and his Hindu concubine Udaipuri. The portrait is surrounded by a blue panel decorated with a floral arabesques, which has been extended at the top by 2.4 cm.
Beneath this is a horizontal rectangular panel containing a painting of a male and female pigeon beside a dovecote, originally against a plain background but later filled in with a brown wash.
