Mughal lady, late 18th century.
Oval miniature of a Mughal lady with long wavy hair wearing a red brocade, plumed, pearl-trimmed hat against a green background. She wears a diaphanous robe with a pearl necklace and emerald earrings as she stairs directly at the viewer. The miniature is surrounded by a panel of gold arabesque decoration.

Common babbler, mid-18th century.
Painting of a long-tailed grey bird which originally stood against a plain background. The tree trunk, tufts of grass, gold streaked background and the blue sky are later additions.
