Imaginary courtesan, late 18th century.
Painting of a lady kneeling on one leg on a carpeted terrace holding a transparent, gold-edged odhani above her head. Her black hair falls loosely down her back and she wears jewellery and a white flower garland around her neck. In front of her are various gold vessels containing flowers and refreshments. The terrace is bordered by an orange railing and flowering plants against a bright green background with a dark blue sky painted above.

Painting of a chinkara, or Indian gazelle, wearing a red and white harness facing left against a dark green landscape.
