Falcon, mid-17th century.

A falcon on his perch originally against a plain background. The plants in the foreground and the sky above are later additions. The partially cut-off inscription on the left is a (likely) inaccurate ascription to the artist Manusr.


verso:

Mughal ladies on a terrace, mid-18th century.

Painting of three ladies sitting on a carpet on a terrace at night with large trees behind them. At the centre, a woman dressed in yellow and orange is presented with a glass vessel by the companion her right, as the lady on the left tickles her foot.
