Pair of upholstered armchairs with baluster shaped walnut legs terminating in scroll feet, back feet plainer with a curved X-stretcher. High crested back with a scroll at each corner, two tier arms, a staggered bolster effect.

Presented by Sir Philip Sassoon in May 1938 for Hampton Court Palace. From the Duke of Leeds' collection at Hornby Castle, Yorkshire.
