Description

This is an official letter from Queen Anne congratulating Frederick I, King of Prussia (1657-1713) on the marriage of his half-brother Albert Frederick to Maria Dorothea of Courland (now part of Latvia). It was signed by the Queen, as well as one of her Secretaries of State, Sir Charles Hedges (c. 1650-1714) and still bears the embossed mark of the Royal Arms at the top of the sheet.
